What should I pack?
You will receive a packing checklist in your pre-departure pack from Tru Travels before you travel with us. If there is something specific you'll need that you might not have thought of we will let you know.
For most countries we'd recommend something to cover your shoulders and knees in case you visit temples or other religous buildings where they are required.
What are the luggage restrictions?

We would always recommend a backpack. Suitcases are not ideal for travelling as even if your suitcase has wheels it's very hard to pull it across the beach. Some hotels may not have elevators, so you will need to carry your bag up stairs.
Spending Money - how much should I budget for?
Spending Money - how much should I budget for?
Every traveller is different and therefore spending money requirements will vary. Some travellers may drink more than others while other travellers like to purchase more souvenirs than most. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping and tipping. Please also remember the following specific recommendations when planning your trip.
You can have a plate of food for a street vendor for AU$5-7, however there are always more expensive options. From a mid-range, sit-down restaurant, expect to pay $7-$15 AUD - not including alcohol.
Please also make sure you have access to at least an additional USD $250 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund, to be used when circumstances outside our control (ex. a natural disaster) require a change to our planned route. This is a rare occurrence!
