We recommend packing the following essentials:

  • A mixture of lightweight clothing and layers (long shirts and pants are useful to protect against the harsh Australian sun. Clothes should be easy to wash and dry.)
  • Active clothing, closed-in shoes, and hat for walking
  • Warm layers during the winter months
  • Slip-on shoes for beach days and walking around the campsite
  • Bathers if you are opting to swim with the whale sharks or manta rays
  • Sun protection – hat, sunscreen, sunglasses

We also recommend bringing the following non-essential items:

  • A water bottle
  • Personal medical kit with pain killers, electrolytes, band-aids, and insect repellent
  • A phone power bank
  • A fly net
  • Sleep sheet during the summer months
  • Ear plugs
  • A headlamp or torch
  • A good book, a journal, and a music player

Please keep your luggage to a minimum. Due to limited space and strictly enforced road laws regarding weight limits, Adventure Tours travellers can carry a maximum of 15 kg. One small soft-sided bag plus a day pack is essential.

You'll be staying in comfortable hostels/dorm-style accommodation across Western Australia. The accommodation on this tour features shared facilities and may be mixed-gender at times.
